Tannenalm

Location & Arrival

In the heart of the Zillertal, where the evening sun shines for a long time, lies the Tannenalm at 1,040 metres on the east side, on the picturesque Stummerberg. Away from traffic and the hustle and bustle, this idyllic community has a special atmosphere that can only be found in the mountain villages of the Alps. The Märzenklamm gorge, which runs under the Tannenalm from Stumm up to the alpine pastures of the Märzengrund, lends the village a special magic.

Travelling by car

Coming from the A12 or the Achensee Bundesstraße, take the B169 Zillertal Bundesstraße to the roundabout with the Stumm exit. Turn off towards Stumm and follow Märzenstraße briefly at the signposted junction. Keep right towards Stummerberg/Gattererberg. Stay on this wide mountain road until the Stummerberg/Gattererberg junction, where you turn right towards Stummerberg. Now follow this road and the signs towards Tannenalm. You will reach the Tannenalm on Stummerberg no. 27 after approx. 6 kilometres via the well-developed mountain road.

Travelling by public transport

From Jenbach railway station and transport hub, you can take the trains or buses of the Zillertaler Verkehrsbetriebe to the station in Kaltenbach or to the bus stop in Stumm. From there, the Regiotaxi will take you directly to the Tannenalm at regular intervals or we can also transport you to our front door with the inexpensive hotel taxi on request.
